Northwell Health partners with LifeThreads Scrubs

During the COVID 19 crisis and a shortage of PPE, Northwell Health System has stepped up to provide an additional layer of safety by outfitting their bedside staff with LifeThreads scrubs.

During the COVID 19 crisisNorthwell Health System has partnered with LifeThreads to provide an additional layer of safety by outfitting their bedside and frontline staff with scrubs that inhibit the growth of bacteria and provide a fluid barrier on the exterior of the scrubs.

An Added Layer of Safety

The Coronavirus Pandemic presented Northwell Health with unprecedented challenges to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline staff treating COVID-19 patients which have adversely affected their PPE stockpile available.

As their staff continues to work diligently to provide the highest level of care, it's important that Northwell provides every resource available in order to keep their staff safe and outfitting them with LifeThreads technology scrubs gives each staff member an added layer of safety very much needed during this time.

Why LifeThreads Scrubs?

Fluid Barrier

With our proprietary technology fluids bead up and roll off the garment ensuring unwanted fluids don't penetrate the garment.

Antimicrobial

The ultra-lightweight fabric used in all LifeThreads garments is impregnated with an EPA -registered antimicrobial agent that ruptures the cell walls of bacteria and other microbial pathogens, quickly killing them. The agent doesn't break down or leach from the fabric with repeated washing-it lasts for the garment's useful life.

Anti-Fungal

LifeThreads' antimicrobial compounds blocks the reproduction cycles of fungi-much more complex than those of bacteria-that cause problems like dandruff, athlete's foot, and ringworm as well as more serious conditions like the fungal lung infection aspergillosis. Given that fungal pathogens now cause more deaths than malaria worldwide, such protection is increasingly important to healthcare environments.
